My name is Gabriel Sainhas, the newest member to the Salsa Brighton team.

I'm a cultural cocktail mixing Brazil with Portugal, courtesy of my parents. Born in London my upbringing was heavily influenced by music and performing. Which has opened the door to many professional experiences.

An early introduction to this type of media sets the foundations for my current interest in video and photography, which I'm currently studying a degree in at Sussex University.

Salsa is my newest passion, I discovered it late into 2007 on arriving in Brighton. It has presented itself as a focal point of my studies and social life as I've been able to use different elements of the Salsa scene as a subject topic of my University work.

I'm currently working as the resident Salsa Brighton photographer and visual advisor, some of you may have seen me snapping away at events, so the next you see me make a pose and I'll do the rest!
